Love.&#8221;\u00c2\u00a0 If you are unfamiliar with this sweet ballad,\u00c2\u00a0 I suggest that you treat yourself to a few minutes of\u00c2\u00a0his wise counsel. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=pkAhQBbK-oM\">http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=pkAhQBbK-oM<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The good news is that I am blessed with so many people whom I love.\u00c2\u00a0 The bad news is\u00c2\u00a0that\u00c2\u00a0 I\u00c2\u00a0was unable to get a full blown love shower up by Feb. 14.\u00c2\u00a0 This year, it is more like a drizzle.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve started with my precious grandchildren and gotten not much further.\u00c2\u00a0 You&#8217;ve already seen the Egyptophile shirt I made for Robert.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0The next post will show the shirt I made for Alastair and which he wore home\u00c2\u00a0after spending the weekend with us.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0This LOVE outfit is for my sweetheart and only granddaughter, Laurel Cade.<\/p>\n<p>When I found this red sale-rack pettiskirt I knew it was the perfect start for her Valentine&#8217;s Day party ensemble.\u00c2\u00a0I wish I had a big poufy hair bow to go with it.\u00c2\u00a0 My dear friend Judy Day is coming for a visit at the end of the week and will teach me to make the fabulous bows she makes for her granddaughters.\u00c2\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.janicefergusonsews.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/LOVEscan.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-11379\" title=\"LOVEscan\" you seen the darling design for boys that says &#8220;I like girls with big hair bows.&#8221;\u00c2\u00a0 Next year I&#8217;ll make that for Alastair whose\u00c2\u00a0prissy playmates\u00c2\u00a0don\u00c2\u00a0these flirty hair accessories. <\/em><\/p>\n<p>A white shirt was pulled from my size 5-6 bag of blank shirts.\u00c2\u00a0 I added some ribbon roses at the neckline\u00c2\u00a0and\u00c2\u00a0applique&#8217;d LOVE with letters from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.planetapplique.com\/\">www.planetapplique.com<\/a>,\u00c2\u00a0Planet Applique&#8217;s\u00c2\u00a0<em>Gobble Alphabet.<\/em>\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0The gobblers were removed in BuzzEdit2.\u00c2\u00a0<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>I wanted to add a heart to the <em>O<\/em> in love and\u00c2\u00a0found just what I needed in\u00c2\u00a0Sew Many Designs <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sewmanydesigns.com\">www.sewmanydesigns.com<\/a> \u00c2\u00a0<em>Say it With Love<\/em> collection.\u00c2\u00a0 The single heart was extracted from a double.\u00c2\u00a0 This heart, however, did not have Planet Applique&#8217;s signature bean stitch on top of the satin stitching.<\/p>\n<p>I was\u00c2\u00a0so pleased\u00c2\u00a0when I realized\u00c2\u00a0that with BuzzEdit2 I could add it!\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 Have I told you lately that I love this program?\u00c2\u00a0 I didn&#8217;t have time for a test stitch out and consequently, the bean stitch on the heart is longer.\u00c2\u00a0 It \u00c2\u00a0has a length of 3.0 and the Planet Applique stitch must be 2.0 or 2.5.\u00c2\u00a0 But I\u00c2\u00a0 Laurel doesn&#8217;t mind.<\/p>\n<p>The letters were arranged in BuzzEdit2 and stitched out as one file in the largest hoop on my Brother Pacesetter ULT2003D.\u00c2\u00a0My Brother Duetta 6500D was busy stitching another design while I worked on the LOVE shirt.<\/p>\n<p>Laurel was pleased to see that each of the fabrics used in the LOVE applique&#8217; were also used on her redwork quilt, including her favorite lipstick kiss in the center of the heart.\u00c2\u00a0She is learning the value of a hefty stash!<\/p>\n<p>Valentine&#8217;s Day is such a fun holiday.\u00c2\u00a0 It&#8217;s over for 2011, but for the rest of the year and years to come, I plan to shower the people I love with
