\"\"<\/a>There are so many great ideas and techniques used in this well coordinated bedroom and bath.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0Judy Day collaborated with her daughter, Beth, to create all the components, each of which included lots of dots.\u00c2\u00a0\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Inspiration\u00c2\u00a0was provided\u00c2\u00a0by a pricey piece of silky brown fabric with blue three dimensional fringed circles.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0Beth asked her mother, Judy Day,\u00c2\u00a0to reproduce these circles for accents on\u00c2\u00a0the bedroom curtains she planned to make.<\/p>\n

The\u00c2\u00a0fringed motif\u00c2\u00a0on the left\u00c2\u00a0is part of the decorator fabric.\u00c2\u00a0 The blue circle on the right was created by Judy using Babylock’s MasterWorks 2.\u00c2\u00a0 The photo is not very sharp, but even so it is clear that Judy’s\u00c2\u00a0smaller blue\u00c2\u00a0circle is nearly identical to the other.<\/p>\n

Judy studied the fringed circles and recognized that they were no more than zig zag stitches radiating from\u00c2\u00a0a\u00c2\u00a0 center circle.\u00c2\u00a0 She digitized the design in Babylock’s MasterWorks 2, clipped the bobbin thread behind the zig zags, clipped the\u00c2\u00a0loose loops to make fringe\u00c2\u00a0and then used the fringed fabric circles to cover buttons.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Beth made the curtains, using a simplicity pattern for the valance.<\/p>\n

Shortly after deciding on the blue dots\/brown silky fabric theme\u00c2\u00a0Beth happened upon the brown towels with blue dots, along with a matching bath mat at a department store.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n

\"\"Judy monogrammed the towels\u00c2\u00a0and the bed\/bath decor was well on its way.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Judy made\u00c2\u00a0shower curtain of a luscious satiny fabric and again digitized the design on the covered buttons.<\/p>\n

These were not fringed, but the stitches radiating from the center circle mimicked the buttons on the bedroom curtains.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The\u00c2\u00a0crisp ensemble creates a sophisticated yet warm mood for\u00c2\u00a0this young family.<\/p>\n

Beth, an elementary school teacher, managed the long distance, teamwork project with her mother.\u00c2\u00a0 Two sewing rooms and a mother\/daughter team separated by\u00c2\u00a0hundreds of miles apart brought lots of dots together.<\/p>\n
