When this peach bishop dress<\/a> was first posted,\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 I offered to post my original smocking design for readers.\u00c2\u00a0 At last, here it is.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 In order for it to be accessible, you may do a screen capture and save to your computer or leave a comment requesting the design and I will e-mail the\u00c2\u00a0 .jpg file to you.<\/p>\n My goal was to mimic the Swiss embroidery and French lace on the sleeve caps., to visually continue the pattern into the smocking.\u00c2\u00a0 It was a fun and interesting design challenge which I enjoyed.\u00c2\u00a0 I was generally pleased with the results.<\/p>\n Note that the graphed design shows bullion tulips while the smocked\u00c2\u00a0peach bishop shows 6 cable flowerettes.\u00c2\u00a0 Of course, use whichever you like.\u00c2\u00a0But you didn’t need me to tell you that.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n This design was published in the Smocking Arts Guild Newsletter many years ago.\u00c2\u00a0 Submitted with the graph and info included here was a smocked sample, on blue Imperial batiste. \u00c2\u00a0 The colors mentioned in the text were for that blue piece, not this peach bishop.
