I’m not sure if my Christmas workshop effort should be labeled overtime<\/em> or overdrive<\/em>, but I can tell you that I am working hard!\u00c2\u00a0 There is still so much that I want to make, but I have gotten some gifts sewn up.<\/p>\n

Molly and her American Girl\u00c2\u00a0 sisters will have a new hand knit sweater.\u00c2\u00a0 I’d like to make more pants for the dolls, but that might have to wait until after Christmas.\u00c2\u00a0 The colors in the sweater embroidery will coordinate just about any fabric.The letters are the small Diva Dots<\/em> from Five Star Font and the spray was taken from Amazing Designs Buttonholes 1<\/em> collection.<\/p>\n

I love monograms for everyone, dolls included.\u00c2\u00a0 Of course, the clothes are interchangeable from doll to doll, so technically a name-specific monogram is a limiting factor, not that dgd Laurel cares.\u00c2\u00a0 I’ve monogrammed doll bed linens<\/a> for Molly and Laurel monogrammed the sleeping bag <\/a>she made for Kit. These items are used for both dolls.\u00c2\u00a0 But I really like using AG for American Girls.<\/p>\n

On a trip to Dallas, the my son’s family visited the NFL Cowboy stadium.\u00c2\u00a0 Now Robert is a huge fan.\u00c2\u00a0 So the fleece pullover should be a hit with him.<\/p>\n

For my PlayGroup Mama<\/a> gal pals, I’ve once again relied on the quick and easy key cases from Terri Click<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 Having met with these dear friends at least every other week for 34 years now, I know their individual taste fairly well.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 It was fun to select just the right fabric and design for each of them.<\/p>\n

When I finish 2 year-old Alastair’s Christmas outfit, I’ll start on an American Girl doll dress to match Laurel’s Christmas dress.\u00c2\u00a0 We are giving her the new Marie Grace doll for Christmas and I want her to make her appearance in the matching dress, just as Molly did last year<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Gift giving, or gift making in our case, is such a joyful activity.\u00c2\u00a0 All the while I am sewing, I try to keep the reason for the season in my heart.<\/p>\n
