Increasingly, I rely on 1. ready-to-smock garments, 2. machine embroidery on quick and easy patterns, and now, 3. machine embroidery on ready-to-wear apparel.<\/p>\n<p>Alastair wears a beautiful blue herringbone overall, part of a two piece set from Strasburg Children.\u00c2\u00a0All of their garments are beautifully constructed and made of quality fabrics.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0I loved this outfit when I bought it, but I wanted just a little more punch.\u00c2\u00a0 In my humble opinion, almost anything is enhanced by the addition of a monogram.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->By opening the center front lining seam, it was relatively easy to embroider the frame and letters.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 The design is from Monogram Wizard Plus, a great program with 55 alphabets in sizes from tiny to your largest hoop, as well as motifs and frames to enhance the monograms.\u00c2\u00a0 It can also be used for lettering in a phrase.\u00c2\u00a0 I use this program a lot.<\/p>\n<p>Accompanying the overall was an equally beautiful long sleeved shirt.\u00c2\u00a0 But on another 90 degree day in Florida, that shirt was just too hot.\u00c2\u00a0 So\u00c2\u00a0in the photos, Alastair wears a light weight short sleeved shirt.<\/p>\n<p>Strasburg Children\u00c2\u00a0clothes run large so I \u00c2\u00a0thought, when I bought the outfit, that the 6-9 month size would fit him for most of Florida\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s cool weather. But I hadn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t expected him to be such a big boy. Now, unless it gets a lot cooler in a very short time, he will never wear that gorgeous\u00c2\u00a0shirt.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.janicefergusonsews.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/monoStrasADC1smilecrop.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-2390\" title=\"monoStrasADC1smilecrop\" src=\"http:\/\/www.janicefergusonsews.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/monoStrasADC1smilecrop-819x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"625\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.janicefergusonsews.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/monoStrasADC1smilecrop-819x1024.jpg 819w, http:\/\/www.janicefergusonsews.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/monoStrasADC1smilecrop-240x300.jpg 240w, http:\/\/www.janicefergusonsews.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/monoStrasADC1smilecrop.jpg 1028w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>On the rack, the lined overall was pristine plain except for the tabs on either side. All the buttons were replace with mother-of-pearl. Lovely as the outfit had been originally, the\u00c2\u00a0tailored, simple\u00c2\u00a0monogram and heirloom quality buttons made it a little more special. More importantly, it is now a special outfit from Nana.
