Here is another\u00c2\u00a0 outfit my friend Suzanne made for her granddaughter’s kindergarten wardrobe.\u00c2\u00a0 Of course, also she made the tights, the fabric flower on the leg,\u00c2\u00a0 and the hairbow.\u00c2\u00a0 This tall, gorgeous,\u00c2\u00a0 little redhead would be a knock out in a gunny sack, but when wearing the sweet things her grandmother has made, she will stop traffic.<\/p>\n

There is so much detail and a surprise everywhere you look.\u00c2\u00a0 And yet, it is perfectly unified.\u00c2\u00a0 The pink gingham\u00c2\u00a0 outfit was inspired by Kari Mecca’s\u00c2\u00a0 book,\u00c2\u00a0 Sewing with Whimsy<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Suzanne is an avid crocheter and can whip up a flower in a flash.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 Notice that the button in each flower’s center is the same.\u00c2\u00a0 That gives an element of unity to the varied embellishments.<\/p>\n

Can’t you almost hear that bee buzzing around the flowers?<\/p>\n

Suzanne has really mastered bullions which make the worm and the butterflies so dimensional.<\/p>\n

I love the little ladybug crawling on the leaf.<\/p><\/div>\n

On her Brother Quattro, Suzanne outlined the pocket with the entredeux stitch.\u00c2\u00a0 A crocheted edging was worked into the holes which were also woven with contrasting floss.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 Little girls love pockets, but this one is like a bag in a fairy tale.\u00c2\u00a0 Surely her granddaughter will be enchanted with this dress.<\/p>\n
