Needleworkers–or sewists if you prefer–so often share their time and talents with friends and relatives and charitable organizations. I am especially touched when I hear from readers who do faith-based needlework.\u00c2\u00a0 Some have sent pictures which are shared below.<\/p>\n

After the previous post about church linens<\/a>, reader Sandra commented that she too had made eucharistic corporals for relatives. I was delighted to read that\u00c2\u00a0 she is, in fact, my Sigma Kappa sorority sister!\u00c2\u00a0 That’s just one more benefit of writing this blog!<\/p>\n

I asked Sandra if she would send pictures to share and hurrah!\u00c2\u00a0 She did.\u00c2\u00a0 Here’s what she had to say about the exquisite pieces she made.<\/p>\n

I had planned on doing one for practice and then doing one more to give to my brother in law.\u00c2\u00a0 However, the practice one turned out really well too, so I gave it to my nephew who is in seminary.<\/em><\/p>\n

The edges are hemmed with mitered corners (on backside of the cloth, so you don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t see the miters in these pictures).\u00c2\u00a0 I wish I had better photos for you.\u00c2\u00a0 I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m not as skilled with the camera and the white on white is hard to capture.<\/em><\/p>\n

My Aunt Rheeta created a spectacular communion cloth <\/a>with veils for the elements.\u00c2\u00a0 I took these very unsatisfactory pictures, but you can trust me to say that the cloth and accompanying items were worthy of the altar.<\/p>\n

I myself made a sad attempt at making a communion cloth<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 There were lots of reasons for its failure, but still it was made with reverence.<\/p>\n
