Few things are prettier than linen guest towels<\/a>, embroidered and hemstitched, hanging demurely from the bathroom towel rack.<\/p>\n

Most guests, however, are loathe to use them, reluctant to wrinkle the beauties and leave them hanging in the disarray that results when linen is handled.<\/p>\n

A good solution is to hang the embroidered linen towels and place a pair of fingertip towels embroidered with a matching or coordinating design on the vanity surface. Guests will readily use the\u00c2\u00a0sturdy terry cloth towels.<\/p>\n

As I do so often, I used Sue Box\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s designs on this set of towels for my daughter\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s first home. Sue\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Golden Classics<\/em> collection is one of my favorites and, like most of her collections, includes coordinating designs. In the collection\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s sub-category Gilt Frame<\/em>, the designs include appliqu\u00c3\u00a9, for which a piece of Swiss organdy was used on the linen towel. For the fingertip towel, the design was stitched without the appliqu\u00c3\u00a9.<\/p>\n
