I remember Kermit the Frog singing &#8220;It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Not Easy being Green.&#8221;\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 But for us, it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s the easiest thing we can do.<\/p>\n<p>This bishop dress was made 25 years ago for my daughter and worn long enough that the hem had to be let down for her. It still looks pretty good now that Laurel wears it. Children grow so fast that it is easy to forget that it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s time to pull out the next bag of outgrown smocked or heirloom sewn garments. Recently, in an effort to get ahead of the game, I tried\u00c2\u00a0several on Laurel and then hung them in the nursery closet\u00c2\u00a0to await the moment of readiness.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>She tried to convince me that a size 7 yoke dress, smocked at the waist, really did fit her.
