{"id":6253,"date":"2010-04-04T01:48:24","date_gmt":"2010-04-04T05:48:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.janicefergusonsews.com\/blog\/?p=6253"},"modified":"2012-04-12T21:47:46","modified_gmt":"2012-04-13T01:47:46","slug":"easter-3-v-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.janicefergusonsews.com\/blog\/2010\/04\/04\/easter-3-v-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Big Boy Easter 2010 ver. 2.0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.janicefergusonsews.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/Easter3V2wholeBrite.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-14341\" title=\"Easter3V2wholeBrite\" src=\"http:\/\/www.janicefergusonsews.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/Easter3V2wholeBrite.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.janicefergusonsews.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/Easter3V2wholeBrite.jpg 1280w, http:\/\/www.janicefergusonsews.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/Easter3V2wholeBrite-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.janicefergusonsews.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/Easter3V2wholeBrite-1024x768.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1280px) 100vw, 1280px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve embroidered a second shirt for Robert, hoping it fits him better than the knit golf shirt.\u00c2\u00a0 It looks dressier than the polo, so I hope he likes it.\u00c2\u00a0The contrast between the comical ducks and the formality of the monogram is greater than I would like.\u00c2\u00a0 But version\u00c2\u00a0 #2 is as far as I&#8217;m going with this suit.<\/p>\n<p>The monogram is from Monogram Wizard Plus.\u00c2\u00a0 I wanted to get the ducks in there somehow, so I went to one of my favorite sites, Embroidery Library, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.emblibrary.com\">www.emblibrary.com<\/a>, and sure enough, for $1 these little ducks were mine, downloaded and embroidered within 30 minutes of finding them.<a href=\"http:\/\/www.janicefergusonsews.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/Easter3V2scanA.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-6256\" title=\"Easter3V2scanA\" src=\"http:\/\/www.janicefergusonsews.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/Easter3V2scanA-300x241.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"241\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.janicefergusonsews.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/Easter3V2scanA-300x241.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.janicefergusonsews.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/Easter3V2scanA.jpg 763w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s late.\u00c2\u00a0 \u00c2\u00a0Bob and I have been babysitting darling Alastair while his parents went to an engagement party.\u00c2\u00a0 He went to sleep promptly and with no fuss at 8 p.m. so he hasn&#8217;t hampered my preparations.\u00c2\u00a0 Bob stuffed the plastic eggs while I stuffed the deviled eggs and\u00c2\u00a0made up the salad for tomorrow&#8217;s dinner.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve set the table and \u00c2\u00a0made a pretty\u00c2\u00a0basket centerpiece of yellow tulips\u00c2\u00a0with purple and white angelonia.\u00c2\u00a0 A dear friend sent me some precious little chicks, beautiful feather butterflies, realistic bumble bees, lady bugs and grasshoppers.\u00c2\u00a0 Jelly beans added even more color.\u00c2\u00a0 I know the children will enjoy examining this basket.<\/p>\n<p>As tired as I am, I can&#8217;t help but remember the late night sewing I used to do Easter Eve.\u00c2\u00a0 I&#8217;m glad the children&#8217;s clothing was done before today and I can&#8217;t wait to see them all decked out in their Easter attire.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0I\u00c2\u00a0certainly enjoyed tonight&#8217;s preparations.\u00c2\u00a0 It&#8217;s a good time to\u00c2\u00a0think on\u00c2\u00a0the glory of Easter and the meaning of these symbols.<\/p>\n<p>Happy Easter to all!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve embroidered a second shirt for Robert, hoping it fits him better than the knit golf shirt.\u00c2\u00a0 It looks dressier than the polo, so I hope he likes it.\u00c2\u00a0The contrast between the comical ducks and the formality of the monogram &hellip;
