And I could certainly reproduce a satisfactory facsimile of the design. So I did.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.janicefergusonsews.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/AppleofOmascan.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-33548\" src=\"http:\/\/www.janicefergusonsews.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/AppleofOmascan.jpg\" alt=\"AppleofOmascan\" width=\"640\" height=\"619\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.janicefergusonsews.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/AppleofOmascan.jpg 640w, http:\/\/www.janicefergusonsews.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/AppleofOmascan-300x290.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Alastair\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s paternal grandmother, &#8220;Oma,&#8221; adores him as much as I do. So I thought this little ready-to-wear set\u00c2\u00a0would give her an extra big smile the next time she sees him.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.janicefergusonsews.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/AppleofOmapants-654x1024.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-33549\" src=\"http:\/\/www.janicefergusonsews.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/AppleofOmapants-654x1024.jpg\" alt=\"AppleofOmapants-654x1024\" width=\"409\" height=\"640\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.janicefergusonsews.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/AppleofOmapants-654x1024.jpg 409w, http:\/\/www.janicefergusonsews.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/AppleofOmapants-654x1024-191x300.jpg 191w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 409px) 100vw, 409px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">An appliqu\u00c3\u00a9 apple with a cute little worm was selected, then surrounded with text using <em>PE-design v. 7<\/em>. As I often do when using a plaid or gingham check for appliqu\u00c3\u00a9, I positioned the fabric\u00c2\u00a0 diagonally for a more pleasing effect.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The design on the shorts took a little time. I wanted the worm on the apple, but that showed only his head and hat. Using my <em>BuzzXplore<\/em>, I found a worm in Dakota Collectibles <em>Garden Critt<\/em>ers collection.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">It was reduced in <em>BuzzSize<\/em> and positioned \u00c2\u00a0to\u00c2\u00a0align with\u00c2\u00a0the existing head.\u00c2\u00a0 The two designs were merged, with a little additional editing, using<em> BuzzEdit2<\/em>. Can you tell that I love the ultra-user friendly <em>BuzzTools<\/em> programs?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.janicefergusonsews.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/AppleofOmascanwormcrop.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-33550\" src=\"http:\/\/www.janicefergusonsews.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/AppleofOmascanwormcrop.jpg\" alt=\"AppleofOmascanwormcrop\" width=\"530\" height=\"306\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.janicefergusonsews.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/AppleofOmascanwormcrop.jpg 530w, http:\/\/www.janicefergusonsews.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/AppleofOmascanwormcrop-300x173.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 530px) 100vw, 530px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<p>Every Wednesday, &#8220;Oma&#8221; meets her sisters, Helen and Jeannette, for an early breakfast before work. It happens that that is the day that Jeannette (see post, <em>Sweetie Pie<\/em>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.janicefergusonsews.com\/blog\/?p=3537\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">http:\/\/www.janicefergusonsews.com\/blog\/?p=3537<\/span><\/span><\/a>) babysits Alastair.
