<\/a><\/p>\nHome dec\u00c2\u00a0projects appeal to everyone.\u00c2\u00a0 Whether or not we have little ones to sew for, each of us\u00c2\u00a0has a bedroom where\u00c2\u00a0we seek\u00c2\u00a0a calm and quiet atmosphere, away from the demands of\u00c2\u00a0our busy days.<\/p>\n
This model bedroom was done for the\u00c2\u00a0Springfield, MO, \u00c2\u00a0Babylock dealer, BSewInn, by\u00c2\u00a0my friend Judy Day.\u00c2\u00a0 Her\u00c2\u00a0unfailing good taste, skillful color coordination\u00c2\u00a0and attention to detail make this model bedroom a soothing refuge.\u00c2\u00a0 It is both classic and contemporary.<\/p>\n There are several other items in this grouping, but they will be posted at a later date.\u00c2\u00a0 There is so much meat in the pieces shown that any more items would make for a very lengthy post.<\/p>\n Judy has incorporated many unique details\u00c2\u00a0in the components of this room.\u00c2\u00a0 The embellishment on each of the two\u00c2\u00a0pillow sham styles were\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0creatively coordinated.\u00c2\u00a0The powder blue shams with Swiss embroidered ruffles were monogrammed on a lacy square which was\u00c2\u00a0then appliqued in place.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The color\u00c2\u00a0contrast\u00c2\u00a0generated by the single robin’s egg blue sham is further enhanced by the touches of lime green in the embroidery.d<\/p>\n The tucked fabric adds textural interest while the\u00c2\u00a0lime green neckroll pillow gives just the right amount of punch to\u00c2\u00a0the grouping.<\/p>\n embroidered, covered button<\/p><\/div>\n Judy has gone a step further by embroidering a richly textured design on the neckroll pillow button cover.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0The lime green fabric is already textured, but with the addition of piping and braid, it is full of interest.\u00c2\u00a0 With the sculpted whole cloth quilting pattern,\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0silky tucked sham fabric, lacy monogrammed square, braid and embroidered button on the neckroll pillow, she has given this bedding a riot of textures.\u00c2\u00a0 It make me want to touch each piece.<\/p>\n pillowcase embroidery<\/p><\/div>\n The embroidered monogram on the sheet, just in front of the neckroll pillow, is bracketed with motifs.\u00c2\u00a0 This seems to extend the monogram to the exact width of the tucked pillow.\u00c2\u00a0 Very pleasing. This, of\u00c2\u00a0 course, coordinates with the design on the pillowcases.<\/p>\n Perhaps my favorite detail of the entire grouping is the embroidery on the corners of the quilt.\u00c2\u00a0 The purist in me would resist such decorative stitching on a hand\u00c2\u00a0quilted\u00c2\u00a0heirloom bed cover, but the very popular and lovely machine made whole cloth quilts so readily\u00c2\u00a0available today are another matter.<\/p>\n Judy has chosen a design that coordinates with the motif on either side of the sheet monogram.\u00c2\u00a0 Again, she has included just the tiniest bit of lime green in the embroidery, which reminds me of salt in a good soup–just enough to improve the product without overwhelming it.<\/p>\n Thanks, Judy, for sharing\u00c2\u00a0your beautiful bedding projects.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0They have\u00c2\u00a0given me a wealth of inspiration.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Home dec\u00c2\u00a0projects appeal to everyone.\u00c2\u00a0 Whether or not we have little ones to sew for, each of us\u00c2\u00a0has a bedroom where\u00c2\u00a0we seek\u00c2\u00a0a calm and quiet atmosphere, away from the demands of\u00c2\u00a0our busy days.
