Making Halloween shirts is just plain fun.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0I have little enthusiasm\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0for\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0costume making, but a quickie shirt makes the grandchildren\u00c2\u00a0as happy as if I had whipped up Spiderman or Cinderella.<\/p>\n

Amy Spriggs made the little white cutie on the left, along with the spooky hair bow.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0She used the Bouh Bouh<\/strong><\/em> font in BabyLock’s Masterworks, CustomWorks and LetterWorks.<\/p>\n

I’ve used the same font on a onesie for 18 month old Alastair.\u00c2\u00a0 His name is longer than Ashlyn’s and his shirt is smaller, so the ghosts were\u00c2\u00a0flocked together more closely.\u00c2\u00a0The Happy Halloween text is from Babylock’s Halloween<\/em> collection.\u00c2\u00a0 It comes with a sassy little spider hanging off the bottom of the “y” in Happy, but with all those ghost it just seemed like overkill.\u00c2\u00a0 So I left it out.<\/p>\n

This past week I spent several days caring for Alastair while his mother worked extra days on a big project for her computer company.\u00c2\u00a0 I had a wonderful time\u00c2\u00a0with him, but I am exhausted.\u00c2\u00a0 I’ve never doubted the wisdom of God, but I applaud his decision to give babies\u00c2\u00a0only to young women (except, of course, for Biblical Sarah).<\/p>\n

Everyone, it seems has new Halloween designs this fall.\u00c2\u00a0 There are a\u00c2\u00a0lots of free ones, notably Buzztools which has a group of designs including jack-o-lanterns, a bat, ghost and more.\u00c2\u00a0 Check them out here<\/a> .<\/p>\n

ABC Machine Embroidery designs has a cute applique’ ghost<\/a> carrying a jack-o-lantern. This would be cute with a tulle or netting overlay.<\/p>\n

There are 216 free embroidery designs\u00c2\u00a0with a variety of\u00c2\u00a0 subjects, offerred by a variety of top notch digitizers.\u00c2\u00a0 Included in that assortment is a witch’s ha<\/a>t.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 There are so many lovely free designs at this site.<\/p>\n
