The Gators did win the football game, though it was not an SEC match, and we all enjoyed\u00c2\u00a0that time-honored Thanksgiving tradition.\u00c2\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.janicefergusonsews.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/EarlyThanxRscan.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-9909\" title=\"EarlyThanxRscan\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.janicefergusonsews.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/EarlyThanxRscan-213x300.jpg\" width=\"191\" height=\"275\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>After a huge dinner, we told scary stories around a big bonfire.\u00c2\u00a0 Robert&#8217;s tale, of course, was about mummies and frankly, I was almost frightened.\u00c2\u00a0 His was a great story and told with such expression that we were all on the edge of our log.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.janicefergusonsews.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/EarlythanxAscan.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-9907\" title=\"EarlythanxAscan\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.janicefergusonsews.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/11\/EarlythanxAscan-238x300.jpg\" width=\"220\" height=\"268\" \/><\/a>The moon was full, so the evening was topped off with a &#8220;night ride&#8221; in the golf cart\u00c2\u00a0 through the &#8220;forest&#8221; across the street.\u00c2\u00a0 This is the very place where the children have seen purple lions, pink giraffes and orange monkeys swinging through the trees eating cotton candy.\u00c2\u00a0 Imagination is a\u00c2\u00a0glorious gift of childhood.<\/p>\n<p>The previous post showed our three grandchildren in their in-a-jiffy turkey day shirts.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0These were such fun to make with the <em>Gobble Alphabet<\/em> from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.planetapplique.com\">www.planetapplique.com<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0I chose to use different fabric for each of the monograms.\u00c2\u00a0 Repeating the same patterns three times just seemed too boring to me.<\/p>\n<p>But now,\u00c2\u00a0it&#8217;s time to get\u00c2\u00a0really serious about the boys&#8217; Christmas outfits.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Cranberry-Orange\u00c2\u00a0Relish<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>3 cups fresh cranberries, approx. 12 ounces \u00c2\u00a0(frozen works just as well)<\/li>\n<li>1 cup sugar<\/li>\n<li>1 T.
